Turia Zone

The most popular and frequently preferred zone of Pench, accessed through Turia Gate. It is known for scenic teak forests, open meadows and water bodies, with good opportunities for spotting tigers, leopards, deer, gaur and wild dogs.

Karmajhiri Zone

One of the park’s traditional tourism zones, accessed through Karmajhiri Gate. It offers a quieter forest experience with excellent opportunities to explore Pench’s diverse wildlife and birdlife.

Jhamtara Zone

Located on the western side of the park and accessed through Jamtara Gate, this zone is known for its peaceful forest landscape, grasslands and wildlife. It is generally considered less crowded than Turia.

Rukhad Buffer Zone

Pench also has several buffer areas where visitors can enjoy wildlife safaris beyond the core tourism zones. These can offer a more relaxed experience and opportunities to observe wildlife in the wider forest ecosystem.

Rukkhad Buffer Zone

Known for its dense forests and scenic landscape, with possibilities of spotting deer, gaur, leopards and other wildlife.

Teliya Buffer Zone

Offers a quieter forest experience with opportunities for wildlife and bird sightings.

Khumbhpani Zone

Khumbhpani Zone is a quieter safari area of Pench National Park, offering a peaceful forest experience with opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, deer, gaur and a variety of birds.

Khawasa

Khawasa Zone is a popular safari area on the Maharashtra side of Pench, known for its scenic forests and opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, wild dogs, deer and other wildlife.

Masurnala

Masurnala Zone is a safari area of Pench National Park known for its dense teak forests, open meadows and diverse wildlife, offering opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, gaur, deer and numerous bird species.
