Safari Zones in Panna National Park
Madla Zone
Madla is the most popular entry point for Panna National Park and is particularly convenient for visitors staying around Khajuraho. The area offers a mix of dry deciduous forest, grasslands and the Ken River landscape.
Hinouta Zone
Located on the opposite side of the park, Hinouta provides access to another section of Panna’s wildlife habitat and is generally associated with a quieter safari experience.
Ken River & Gharial Sanctuary
The Ken River forms an important ecological feature of Panna and supports one of the park’s most distinctive wildlife experiences—the gharial.
Buffer Zone
Panna also has surrounding buffer forests where wildlife tourism is permitted on designated routes. These areas can provide sightings of deer, nilgai, wild boar, langurs, birds and, occasionally, larger predators.
