The palace was the abode of Scindias who are the last dynasty to rule Gwalior. A part of it has been turned into a museum whereas the Scindia family still resides in the other part. Jai Vilas Palace is famous for its brilliant architecture that is inspired by Tuscon, Italian and Corinthian styles. The golden leaves on the walls of Palace Hall, the silver train on the dining table and Asia’s largest chandeliers are some of the important attractions.
