Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. This is an incredible example of early Indo-Islamic architecture. Though not confirmed, it is believed that the minaret was built to mark the victory and the beginning of Muslim Rule in India. However, it is also believed that the structure was used to call the people for prayer.
The tower is covered with intricate carvings and verses from the holy Quran.
