Historical Significance

The garden was built in the early 18th century, between 1710 and 1734 AD, by Maharana Sangram Singh II. The primary purpose was to provide a tranquil and joyous haven for the royal queen and her group of 48 maidens (or accompanying ladies-in-waiting), who were often part of the dowry. It served as a secluded royal leisure spot where the women could relax, stroll, and indulge in recreational activities away from the strict royal protocol of the palace.
