The Gulmarg Gondola is a two-phase cable car system, consisting of the Gulmarg Gondola’s Phase I and Phase II. Each phase offers different experiences and takes visitors to varying elevations.

Phase I of the Gondola, which is also known as the “Gulmarg-Mary’s” section, takes passengers from the Gulmarg base station to the Kongdori station. Phase II, also referred to as the “Kongdori-Apharwat” section, is the more exhilarating part of the ride. It transports visitors from Kongdori to the Apharwat Peak, which stands at an elevation of over 4,000 meters (13,000 feet) above sea level. This part of the Gondola ride offers stunning panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks, including Mount Apharwat.
