An Architectural Masterpiece

What sets the Ramvaikunth Temple apart from all others in Pushkar is its classic Dravidian (South Indian) architectural style. The temple was built in the 20th century, sponsored by the prominent Ranganath family of Hyderabad, who wished to create a monumental shrine in this holy town.

The first thing you will notice is the colossal Gopuram, or entrance tower. This pyramidal gateway is a marvel of craftsmanship, adorned with hundreds of vibrant, intricately carved statues of gods, goddesses, and celestial beings from Hindu mythology. It serves as a breathtaking introduction to the divine world within.

As you step inside, the sense of space and symmetry is palpable. The complex features high, ornate walls, several smaller shrines, and a central sanctum dedicated to Lord Vishnu, along with his consorts, Lakshmi and Bhudevi. The pristine white marble pillars and halls exude an aura of peace and sanctity.

Dress Code	As a place of worship, visitors are requested to dress modestly. Covering shoulders and knees is recommended. You will be asked to remove your shoes before entering the main temple area.
Photography	Photography is generally permitted in the outer courtyard, but restrictions may apply inside the main sanctum. Please be respectful and look for signage.
